Our EIFS Projects
Exterior insulation and finishing system (EIFS) is a general class of non-load bearing building cladding systems that provides exterior walls with an insulated, water-resistant, finished surface in an integrated composite material system.
EIFS helps with utility costs
EIFS is great in an entry way as it helps lower heating and cooling bills. It has styorofoam behind it for insulation from one-half to four inches depending on building needs. EIFS is for both commercial buildings and residential buildings/houses.
EIFS is typically attached to the outside face of exterior walls with an adhesive or mechanical fasteners. Adhesives are commonly used to attach EIFS to gypsum board, cement board, or concrete substrates. EIFS are attached with mechanical fasteners when installed over housewraps such as are commonly used over wood sheathings. The supporting wall surface should be continuous and flat.
With EIFS you can choose from different textures and colors to finish the exterior to match or contrast with the rest of the building. It is troweled on with mesh and concrete layers, plus a finish coat – a 3 step process.
